Day 1: Marrakech - Asni – Ouirgane - Marrakech
This full-day trip to Ouirgane Valley and Asni Village starts at 9 a.m., when the driver picks you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned and comfortable car and drives you to the high Atlas mountains. You will stop in Tahanaout to take pictures the panoramic views of the valley filled with olive trees and old Berber villages. You will stop in Asni village on the way to Ouirgane to enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and the traditional Berber lifestyle, as well as to discover the weekly Berber market (held every Saturday). If you want, you can go to a local Argan Cooperative run by women and purchase some good Argan products..
When you arrive in Ouirgane village, the starting point for many activities. Enjoy a fresh mint tea in the Berber family home, where you can see how we make Moroccan tea in a ceremonial manner. Then, go on a guided hiking tour, If you don't decide to walk, you can relax and enjoy the panoramic views on a terrace in the village, and lunch will be served in a traditional Berber restaurant when you return. Following that, we go to the traditional salt mines, where people have been mining salt by hand for generations. At the end of the afternoon, meet the driver for the return trip to Marrakech.
